Psychology Services at VWC
Psychology services at VWC include evidence-based, targeted intervention/treatment and assessment. Dr. Nicole Legg offers a number of psychology services at VWC to help patients better understand themselves, illuminate their strengths and challenges, and to optimize their functioning. Dr. Legg’s approach emphasizes getting to know her clients to obtain a thorough understanding of their current concerns, goals, and opportunities for growth, and building warm and trusting relationships. Read below to learn more about the psychological services offered by Dr. Legg.
1. Short-Term Dialectical Behavioral Therapy (DBT) Skills Training - $235/hr
Dr. Legg offers short-term, targeted individual DBT skills training session for those that struggle with emotion regulation, impulsivity, relationship difficulties, and more. DBT is the first-line treatment for those who struggle to manage their emotions, which can interfere with their functioning. That being said, DBT skills are scientifically supported to be widely applicable to a range of mental health concerns. Dr. Legg does not provide comprehensive DBT services, long-term DBT therapy, nor DBT skills training in group format at VWC at this time.
Short-term DBT skills training is helpful for those looking to learn new coping skills, communication skills, how to look at situations differently, and to manage their emotions. 2. Short-Term ADHD/Executive Functioning Skills Training - $235/hr
Dr. Legg offers short-term targeted skills training for those who have, or think they may have, ADHD. Skills training is a helpful tool for those with struggle with attention, organization, planning, getting things done, and other executive functioning challenges.

3. ADHD Psychological Assessment - Starting at $1500/assessment
VWC offers a comprehensive and combined psychiatric & psychological assessment for adults who are wondering if they have ADHD, provided by Dr. Wang and Dr. Legg. Patients will receive both a psychiatric and psychological assessment, along with medical, medication, psychological, and behavioural treatment recommendations. Those who undergo an ADHD assessment at VWC will have optional access to ADHD medication management with Dr. Wang, as well as ADHD/Executive Functioning Skills training with Dr. Legg.

4. Psychological Rapid Access Diagnostic Assessment - Starting at $500/assessment
Dr. Legg provides brief and efficient psychological/mental health diagnostic assessments to help you understand your symptoms, diagnosis, and make sense of your current challenges. Dr. Legg will provide you with a brief assessment report that outlines diagnoses that best describe your functioning, and helps you to understand why you are experiencing symptoms or challenges. Her reports also provide a roadmap and recommendations to help you get started in finding the most suitable psychological treatment/therapist for your unique concerns.

Are the psychological services offered at Veridian Wellness Clinics covered by Provincial Health Insurance?
At this time, while BC MSP and other provincial health insurance programs do not cover the services of psychologists and registered clinical counsellors. However, many extended health benefit plans cover a percentage of the cost of each appointment with a registered mental health clinician, up to an annual maximum. You will need to call and check with your extended health provider about the percentage and amount of coverage offered for psychological services.
At Veridian Wellness Clinics, do we not offer direct billing to private insurance plans/providers. You will need to privately pay for all psychological services (i.e., pay out-of-pocket). You will be provided receipts for all of your payments, which can be submitted to your extended benefit insurance provider for reimbursement.
